Terms of Service
Effective 20 August 2026. Governed by the laws of Ethiopia.
Push.et provides push.et, an API and console for sending SMS and MMS in Ethiopia. By creating an account or sending traffic you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Acceptable Use Policy.
Telecom traffic
Messages are routed through customer-operated devices and Ethiopian mobile networks (including Ethio Telecom and Safaricom Ethiopia). You must have a lawful basis to contact each recipient and must comply with applicable Ethiopian telecommunications, consumer-protection, and data rules. We may suspend sending if traffic appears abusive, unsolicited, or non-compliant.
KYC
Organizations must complete know-your-customer (KYC) verification before live sending. You warrant that business details, tax identifiers, and supporting documents are accurate. We may reject or suspend sender IDs that are not approved. Questions about KYC go to compliance@push-et.com.
Opt-out (STOP)
Recipients may opt out by replying STOP (or an equivalent keyword). You must honor opt-outs immediately. Sending to a number on the opt-out registry is prohibited and will be rejected.
Prepaid wallet
Sending debits a prepaid wallet. Self-serve top-ups use Chapa or Stripe. Bank transfer is operator-confirmed and is not self-serve. Unused balance remains with the organization. Fees are non-refundable except where a message expires or fails after a charge and our systems issue a message refund.
Acceptable use
Do not use push.et for fraud, phishing, malware, unsolicited SMS, or content that is illegal in Ethiopia. The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these terms. We may retain message metadata required for billing, abuse investigation, and regulatory requests.
Cookies and data processing
Session cookies are described in the Cookie Policy. Processing of message content and KYC documents on your behalf is described in the Data Processing Addendum.
