Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 20 August 2026. Governed by the laws of Ethiopia.

This policy is part of the Terms of Service for push.et, operated by Push.et. It applies to every account, API key, device pool, and sender ID.

Prohibited traffic

You may not send phishing, social-engineering, or credential-harvesting messages. You may not use push.et for fraud, malware distribution, SIM-swap facilitation, or any content that is illegal in Ethiopia. Unsolicited SMS or MMS — including purchased lists, scraped numbers, or messages without a lawful basis — is prohibited. We may suspend sending, revoke sender IDs, or close the organization if traffic looks abusive.

Consent and STOP

You must have a lawful basis to contact each recipient before the first message. Recipients may opt out by replying STOP (or an equivalent keyword). You must honor opt-outs immediately and must not send again to a number on the opt-out registry. Attempts to evade STOP handling are a material breach of these terms.

Account integrity

Do not share live API keys, spoof another brand’s sender ID, or submit false KYC documents. Do not probe, overload, or circumvent rate limits, quiet hours, or device-pool controls. Test traffic belongs on test keys.
